- Please remember that while the software generally produces
- an understandable translation, it cannot create a perfect
- translation. For translations that must be of publication
- quality always consult a professional translator or native
- speaker.

- INSTALLATION
- To install Power Translator Deluxe, run SETUP from the CD.
- Be sure to have your serial number ready. You must enter
- the complete serial number starting with the letters PT,
- followed by a space, followed by the rest of the serial
- number.

- DICTIONARY LOCATION
- The default dictionary location is the DICTS directory under
- your installation directory. To change this location you
- can choose "Dictionary Locations" from the "Options" menu to
- specify a different location.

- Although you may specify the CD as the location of the
- dictionaries, this is not recommended due to the extreme
- slow speed of the CD drive and the fact that you cannot
- update your dictionaries since the CD is Read-Only.

- SPEECH SETUP
- The speech option will only work if you have a
- Windows-compatible sound card (such as "Sound Blaster")
- installed in your computer.

- The speech setup is done on a per language basis. For
- example, changing the speech parameters for English will not
- affect the speech of the other language. You must first
- select the language for which you want to configure speech,
- then change the parameters.

- INSTALLATION DIFFICULTIES
- If you are experiencing problems with the installation
- program it is possible to install the product by using File
- Manager to drag the PTDELUXE directory from the CD onto your
- hard disk. You will then have to manually change the
- dictionary location to reflect your hard disk drive letter
- and turn off the Read-Only attribute of all the files you
- copied.
